On Monday 20th June the Oxford Mail reported that a plan to take the bodies of fallen soldiers through a side gate at RAF Brize Norton and not to detour through Carterton town centre had caused controversy among some people. Two British soldiers are being repatriated to the UK today

The bodies of Craftsman Andrew Found, from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and Private Gareth Bellingham, from 3rd Battalion The Mercian Regiment, will be flown to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire.
